As new growth continues throughout the growing season, it continues to emerge as pink serrated laceleaf except now its overlaid on the bright green older growth. As the fall temperatures drop the leaves of Acer palmatum 'Raraflora' turn a explosive orange-red. Its like tossing out a bright flare in the garden. Expect Japanese maple 'Raraflora' to reach 4ft high by 6ft wide in 10 years.
