Ardisia japonica 'Amanogawa' (marlberry, coralberry) is a variegated, evergreen ground cover with light green centered leaves with irregular white lobes around the edge of the leaves.  Ardisia japonica 'Amanogawa'  is a stunning, evergreen, slowly spreading ground cover best used in mass plantings in a shaded woodland garden or as a specimen in a container.  Ardisia japonica 'Amanogawa' is probably best in zone 8-9 or in a sheltered location in zone 7.  Ardisia japonica 'Amanogawa'  grows best in moisture retentive (not wet) soil and average fertility.
