Acer palmatum 'Hana Tsukasa' leaves emerge in the spring as completely pink, before turning green in the center by mid-spring. By the summer the pink has turned to a creamy white margined variegation. In the fall ‘Hana Tsukasa' leaves turn a bright orange to red. Expect 'Hana Tsukasa’ to reach 6-8 ft high 10 years. Provide 'Hana Tsukasa' a location with the morning sun that is shaded from the hot afternoon sun for best color.
