Rare Pink Variegated Ikandi Japanese Maple Tree

Acer palmatum 'Ikandi', leaves emerge in the spring almost solid pink. Making this one of the pinkest of the reticulated Japanese maples. As the leaves mature the green slowly comes into the veins of the leaf, as the pink leaf slowly becomes almost white. During the summer month the new growth is a solid green. But no worries it will become variegated the following year.  As 'Ikandi' gets older the leaves become more and more variegated. The leaves in the fall range from oranges to red. Expect 'Ikandi' to reach 10-12 ft high in 15 years.
