'Jerre Schwartz' continues to push out new growth that is the electric pink-red of spring but now the new growth is overlaid on the lime green older leave. As Fall starts to roll in with the cooler temperature's the leaves of Acer palmatum 'Jerre Schwartz' turn to bright oranges then fiery reds. Because 'Jerre Schwartz' was found as a witches' broom mutation, it has an extremely small dense habit. Expect 'Jerre Schwartz' to reach 6 ft high by 4 ft wide in 15 years making it a awesome  Japanese maple for small spaces that need a big impact. Because of its dwarf growth habit it makes a great Japanese maple for conifer beds, rock gardens, and containers.
