Acer palmatum 'Mama Fu' is a new face in the crowd, officially getting registered in 2012.  'Mama Fu' leaves emerge in the early spring bright pink. As the leaves expand you get a pink variegation laid over a bright lime green that is unlike any other Japanese maple. This gives 'Mama Fu' a stop in your tracks kind of attention in the garden. As the summer heat cranks up the pink variegation of 'Mama Fu' will fade to a clean cream color. As the fall temperatures start to dropped the leaves will turn orange to a brilliant red. Because of 'Mama Fu' relative new release, we can give you an educate guess that it should reach 10 to 12ft high in 15 years.
