Acer palmatum 'Red Baron' leaves emerge in the spring a deep burgundy color. As the summer heat starts up the leaves turn to green with overtones of copper/orange. As the temperatures of fall start to cool down the leaves turn a brilliant shade of purple. You can expect 'Red Baron' Japanese Maple to reach 8 to 12ft high in 10 years. 'Red Baron' is just an amazing addition to any garden, I mean it puts on one of the best color shows of any of the Japanese maples so how could you resist?
