Acer palmatum 'Sunburst' EXCLUSIVE GARDEN TREASURES NEW RELEASE - RARE!!!  Acer palmatum 'Sunburst' is one of our most exciting Japanese maple cultivars that we grow!  We found this as a seedling growing in a dense, overgrown area of zoysia grass (VERY dense growing) in full, baking sun and it was THRIVING!  In our area with baking summer heat, Japanese maples would simply die in a situation that this seedling was growing in.  We propagated it and have been evaluating for several years.  Hands down, Acer palmatum 'Sunburst' is the BEST orange/yellow foliaged Japanese maple we have ever grown!  We are very excited to offer this RARE, EXCLUSIVE GARDEN TREASURES NURSERY RELEASE this year in fairly limited numbers.  By the way, the mother of Acer palmatum 'Sunburst' was 'Katsura' (also an excellent maple in our climate).
