Quercus variabilis "Speckled" EXTREMELY RARE!

Quercus variabilis "Speckled" is an extremely fast growing, deciduous, variegated, Chinese cork oak  Quercus variabilis "Speckled" came to us as scions we collected at the JCRA a few years ago and doesn't appear to have a cultivar name.  In my personal opinion, it is one of the most stunning plants in the entire arboretum!  Sadly its very difficult to propagate and we get very low percentage, but it is certainly worth the effort!  Quercus variabilis "Speckled" will become a large tree fairly quickly and grows easily 3-4' per year once established.  Quercus variabilis "Speckled" is one of the very best variegated plants I've ever seen (and believe me, I have seen a LOT of variegated plants!!!!)  If you want a stunning, large, variegated shade tree in your garden, this is the tree for you!  EXTREMELY RARE and only have a very small number available.
