Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum'
Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum'
Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum' is a broadleaf, evergreen shrub with fairly large, glossy green leaves with random splashes of gold variegation. Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum' is an uncommon, variegated form of Japanese Viburnum the forms a medium to large shrub (easily pruned smaller) and is good in a woodland garden with sunny exposure or full sun (might burn a little in full sun in the deep south USA). Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum' requires some yearly maintenance to remove any solid green branches - remove as soon as you see one since the green branches grow faster than the variegated ones, and will eventually take over. Viburnum japonicum 'Variegatum' should be planted in a sheltered location in colder areas - it is OK in zone 8 and 9 but needs shelter in zone 7.
